Freshly squeezed

smell so sweet

it tingles to swallow, the juice

but is so yummy

.......

they come in ALL shapes and sizes

but smell the same

and taste so sweet

.........

grab them from the fruit bowl

so

neatly arranged and sorted

but are so yummy...

Laughter

relaxes the soul

re-freshes your mind

and settles so neatly in your body

the feeling spreads within people around you

think happy thoughts

the sound of laughter from kids reminds us all of those days

playing in the school yard, skipping stones

and playing ball

staying so young when a giggle escapes from you...

       I've Learned

I've learned.... That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.

I've learned.... That when you're in love, it shows.

I've learned.... That just one person saying to me, "You've made
my day!" makes my day.

I've learned.... That having a child fall asleep in your arms is
one of the most peaceful feelings in the world.

I've learned.... That being kind is more important than being
right.

I've learned.... That you should never say no to a gift from a
child.

I've learned.... That I can always pray for someone when I don't
have the strength to help him in some other way.

I've learned.... That no matter how serious your life requires you
to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with.

I've learned.... That sometimes all a person needs is a hand to
hold and a heart to understand.

I've learned.... That simple walks with my father around the block
on summer nights when I was a child did wonders for me as an adult.

I've learned.... That life is like a roll of toilet paper. The
closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.

I've learned.... That we should be glad God doesn't give us
everything we ask for.

I've learned.... That money doesn't buy class.

I've learned.... That it's those small daily happenings that make
life so spectacular.

I've learned... That under everyone's hard shell is someone who
wants to be appreciated and loved.

I've learned.... That the Lord didn't do it all in one day. What
makes me think I can?

I've learned.... That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.

I've learned.... That when you plan to get even with someone, you
are only letting that person continue to hurt you.

I've learned.... That love, not time, heals all wounds.

I've learned.... That the easiest way for me to grow as a person
is to surround myself with people smarter than I am.

I've learned.... That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted
with a smile.

I've learned.... That no one is perfect until you fall in love
with them.

I've learned.... That life is tough, but I'm tougher.

I've learned.... That opportunities are never lost; someone will
take the ones you miss.

I've learned.... That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will
dock elsewhere.

I've learned.... That I wish I could have told my Dad that I love
him one more time before he passed away.

I've learned.... That one should keep his words both soft and
tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them.

I've learned.... That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve
your looks.

I've learned.... That I can't choose how I feel, but I can choose
what I do about it.

I've learned.... That when your newly born grandchild holds your
little finger in his little fist, that you're hooked for life.

I've learned.... That everyone wants to live on top of the
mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it.

I've learned ... That it is best to give advice in only two circumstances;
when it is requested and when it is a life threatening situation.

I've learned.... That the less time I have to work with, the more
things I get done.

We are the people of tomorrow

Holding hand and hand,
Trying to accomplish what many others have not been able to succeed. the need for love, peace and safety in this world.
We are the voices, the thoughts and the minds for the future
The ones that will continue what many other generations have started, the need for peace.
For all to be treated equally and for the rights of respect.
We can make that difference only if we start today, not later, now for we are the ones that will make that difference.
We the people of the future!

(Dedicated to all those who were effected by 9-11)

Remember Me Always

Remember the crystal clear brook that flows,

Remember the song of the sparrow that brings enchantment forever,

Remember the sand and rocks that we collected like memories,

Remember the smile on a love ones face, it must be cherished for life,

Remember the tears of joy that brang success and happiness,

Remember the sweet scent of flowers when they bloom,

Remember the mist on a rainy day,

Remember the laughter of life,

Remember the kind words, not the putdowns,

These things will carry you through life, these are the secrets of life and remember me.

PROMISE YOURSELF

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace
of mind. To talk health, happiness and prosperity
to everyone I meet. To make all your friends feel
there is something in them. To look at the sunny side
of everything and make your optimism come true. To
think only of the best, to work for only the best and
expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about
the success of others as you are about your own. To
forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the
greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful
countenance at all times and to give every living creature
you meet a smile. To give so much time to the
improvement of yourself, that you have no time to criticize
others. To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too
strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of
trouble.

Rules For Being Human

1. You will receive one body. You may like it or hate it, but it will be yours for the entire time you're here.

2. You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informalschool called life. Each day in this school you will have the opportunity to learn the lessons. You may like the lessons or think them irrelevant and stupid.

3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial and error, and experimentation. The failed experiments are as much a part ofthe process as the experiment that ultimately works.

4. A lesson is repeated until learned. A lesson will be presented to youin various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it,
you can then go on to the next lesson.

5. Learning lessons does not end. There is no part of life that does not contain its lessons. If you are alive, there are lessons to be
learned.

6. There is no better a place than here. When your "there" has become a"here", you will simply obtain another "there" that will again look better than "here".

7. Others are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or
hate about yourself.

8. What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is
yours.

9. Your answers lie inside you. The answers to life's questions lie inside you. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust.

Please have respect by not taking these poems and passing them off as your work, I have written some of them and others are works that need permission to use! Thank you ^^
